You’ve done everything right.
Built the webinar. Wrote the emails. Posted on socials. Promoted like your life depended on it.
And on the day… seven people showed up. Two of whom were your own team members quietly pretending to be strangers.
Here’s the thing — it’s not that your audience doesn’t want what you’re offering. It’s that you’ve been pushing the same message through the same channels until they started associating your name with that vague dread you feel when your dentist calls.
You don’t need a bigger budget to fix this. You need a smarter system. Here are four organic strategies most coaches completely overlook.
#1 LinkedIn Event Invites
(The Easiest Win You're Ignoring)
When you create an event on LinkedIn, you can directly invite your entire network. Not post about it and pray the algorithm is in a good mood — actually invite them. Like a human being.
A direct invite feels personal. When your webinar title speaks to a real problem, you can get a wave of registrants without sending a single email. And you don’t need a premium account to do it.
The lesson? Before firing off another email blast, ask: have I actually used every free channel available to me?
#2 Audience Borrowing
(The Fastest Way to Scale Organic Registrants)
Instead of promoting only to your own list, you partner with someone who already has the exact audience you want — and promote each other’s offerings.
This isn’t just a collab for the sake of looking busy on Instagram. You’re tapping into trust that already exists. Their endorsement of you carries real weight with their audience.
I’m doing this right now for an upcoming webinar — promoting a partner’s free PDF book to my list in exchange for him promoting my webinar to his. His audience gets a valuable resource. Mine gets a free book. Both of us have a shot at making sales. Everyone wins.

The lesson? You don’t need a massive list. You need access to the right list — and sometimes, that belongs to someone else.
#3 Organic Retargeting (Yes, Without Paid Ads)
Anytime someone comments, likes, or replies to your content, they’ve raised their hand. Most coaches see the notification and move on.
But a simple DM
“Hey, I saw you engaged with this — thought this free training might be relevant to you”
— can turn a casual scroller into a registrant. You’re not cold pitching a stranger. You’re following up with someone who already knocked on your door.
Tools like ManyChat can automate this based on trigger actions, like someone commenting a keyword on your post. Want to see how AI tools can take this even further? This guide on promoting webinars with AI covers it well.
The lesson?
Engagement is a list of warm leads who’ve already told you they’re interested. Follow up.
#4 List Segmentation by Interest
(Stop Treating Everyone the Same)
Here’s where most coaches unknowingly do the most damage — blasting one promotional email to the entire list, over and over, watching unsubscribes tick up like a broken taxi meter.
The problem isn’t the frequency. It’s the lack of relevance.
Say your audience are course creators. Within that group, you’ve probably got three buckets: people who want more leads, people who want better conversions, and people who want to scale with ads. Same webinar — but three completely different angles, each speaking to a specific problem.
People don’t resonate with offers. They resonate with their current problem.
No formal segmentation yet? No worries.
Write three versions of your promo email with subject lines like “Struggling with leads?”, “Got leads but no sales?”, “Can’t scale profitably?” People self-select. You learn their bucket for next time.

The lesson? Audience fatigue isn’t caused by too many emails. It’s caused by irrelevant ones.
