How to Use Facebook to Grow Your Pest Control Business

As a pest control business owner, you know the importance of marketing and getting new business.

You may advertise using fliers, the local papers and other offline methods.

You might even use Google Adwords to target your local area.

And you may be getting some decent results using these channels.

But if you are looking for ways to get lots more clients, then you really can’t look past Facebook marketing.

Before I dive into the how to, let’s see why Facebook is a great platform to market your pest control business:

Reason #1: Facebook has 1.7 billion users. Virtually anyone who has an Internet connection has a Facebook account. So it makes sense to tap onto this channel!

Reason #2: People spend a lot of time on Facebook. According to a report by Sensis, Australian Facebook users spend an average of 8.5 hours a week on Facebook. If they are spending so much time on Facebook, it just makes sense to advertise to them where they hang out!

Reason #3: Targeting options. Facebook has tremendous targeting capabilities. For instance, you can target people of a certain age, income, and interest.

People who are interested in ‘Homes and Gardens’ might be a more likely fit for your service. People who are ‘property investors’ might mean they have multiple properties that you can do pest control for.

Reason #4: Clicks can be cheaper. For Google Adwords you could be paying $5 to $15 for clicks on certain keywords. In comparison, Facebook ads when done properly, can cost less than $0.50 per click, giving you much more exposure to your marketplace.

So what do you need to get started on Facebook ads?

Step One:  Get clear about who your ideal customers are. Find out their interest, where they live, what car they drive and so on. You can plug this information into your Facebook ads later.

Step Two: Set up a Facebook page if you don’t have one. Google ‘how to set up a Facebook page for my business’ if you are unsure how to create one.

Step Three: Set up a Facebook ad account on your Facebook account. I won’t go into the technicalities of it, but you should be able to find the ‘Ads Manager’ option somewhere on the left-hand side of your Facebook page. Set it up by entering your credit card and some other details they require.

Step Four: Make sure you have good ad copy, good images and a good offer. Send them to a good page where they can easily sign up for your offer. Target the right crowd in your local areas. Spend $10-$20 a day to test the market. Leave it for 3-5 days before changing things around.

Ok, I won’t lie, Facebook marketing can be a complicated thing for many business owners.

If you would like me to spend 20 mins in person with you over the computer to set things up for your Facebook ads. Just click the button below to apply and I’ll get in touch.

Why am I doing this?

I’m doing this because I want to help people who are serious about growing their businesses. And it’s a way for us to see if there may be a fit to work together.

Regardless, you’ll walk away with your first Facebook ads and start getting more exposure for your business!
