Live your life to the fullest

You know how sometimes while you are driving, you get lost in your thoughts and then suddenly…

… you realized that you have arrived at your destination without really focusing along the journey?

Well, that’s exactly how it is with most of us as we go through the motions of our daily routines like mindless zombies.

We get settled into our cosy, little comfort zones and do little to challenge ourselves…

… to go further and achieve more.

It took an unexpected tragedy to jolt me from my complacency…

… and made me think about the priorities in my life.

Watch this video to find out what happened that got me to reevaluate my life:

Hi. This is Terence Tam here from Radical Marketing.

Today, I want to share with you a personal story about a friend of mine who just passed away last month suddenly from a heart attack and just left his wife, his two young daughters behind.

And this friend was very dear to me because we have known each other for 30 years and he’s one of the guys that I always hang out with when I’m feeling a bit down because he’s always happy and cheerful. Unfortunately, you know, things happen and he just basically left too soon.

So, this really hit me hard and really got me thinking that life is so finite – that we only have this one chance in life. And I realized through this experience that I’ve been letting fear hold me back in my life and in my business. Fear of losing money. Fear of failure. Fear of getting too many clients and I can’t handle the business growth.

And all this while, it just woke me up to realize that I’ve been putting myself in this comfort zone where I’m comfortable but not making the progress that I should. And while I have had some successes, it’s slow and I realized that it’s because I’ve been letting fear hold me back in my life and in my business.

So, one of the key things that I’m determined to do is to stop this fear from running my life. Stop this fear from making me make bad choices and bad decisions.

I realized that if I continue to let this fear hold me back in my life and in my business that I’m not going to achieve the goals that I dreamed of. I’m not going to build the business and impact the number of people that I can impact because ultimately this made me realize that we only have one life.

And as business owners and then maybe as marketers, like if you’re just a marketer, not a business owner, we only have one life to impact lives and I hope that you use your skills, your position, to actually make a difference.

Don’t live with regrets and don’t let fear hold you back in your life and in your business. Take a chance, Be bigger. Experience life a bit more.

And honestly for me, I don’t want to go down and look back at my life and say, Hey, you know, I didn’t live life to the full. I did not put 110% effort and commitment to growing my business. And I didn’t put in 100% commitment to watch my daughter grow up and see her flourish and prosper.

So guys, basically I have resolved to stop wasting time on activities that don’t help me achieve my goals.

So yeah, I just want to share this with you because I feel too many times as business owners, as marketers and as people in general, we let fear hold us back in our lives. So I just want to encourage you, don’t let fear hold you back. And yeah, live your life to the max.

Thanks for watching and I hope this was meaningful for you. Please, if you like this, share, like, comment or feel free to reach out if you’d like to share your experiences too. Thanks.
