Hey guys, this is Terrance here.
Today, I want to introduce you to a very important concept, Brandvertising.
Brandvertising is a combination of branding and advertising put together then you get Brandvertising.
What is Brandvertising? Why is it important if you are a seminar speaker or a webinar presenter? Why is this so important if you are in the expert space?
Let me tell you what is Brandvertising first, then let me tell you why it’s important.
When I first started advertising webinars and seminars on Facebook four years ago, it was kind of easy because first of all, we had very little competition. CPMs were very cheap. We could do like really short ads and really simple ads and say, “Hey, sign up for this seminar to find out more about this particular topic.” And we would get leads from really, really cheap. It was great times and great days.
I think what’s happened in the past several years is that consumers are getting more sophisticated as there’s more and more competitors rolling out into the marketplace. Those short ads that say, “Hey, come and learn how to make money on the internet, free seminar, sign up now”. That kind of ads, they don’t work anymore. Even if they do, I mean, you get very, how do I say, lots of people that are low-quality participants at this seminar that you don’t want to have possibly or could be a complete waste of your time?
So, what is the solution?
The solution is what I called Brandvertising. No longer are you just doing direct marketing or just advertising. While you are advertising, you also need to be branding yourself.
Basically what that means is not only are you pushing for people to take the next step with you, you are also putting out good content on a regular basis. Even with the ads where you’re selling your events, you need to start thinking, well, right now, this person may not attend my event, but what kind of impression will my ad leave on people that watch my ad or read my ad? That’s going to be very important in the future.
As you as more and more competitors roll out into the marketplace, you need to think about what your brand stands for and think about how to give out value out there. The more value to give out there through great content, the more people are going to respond to you. The more you build your authority, and the more people are going to come to your events and the more likely they are going to purchase from you.
In most cases with seminars, webinars, some people are selling or some of you may be selling stuff that’s worth a few thousand dollars. As the people in the market gets more sophisticated, a lot of them won’t buy first up in your seminar, a lot of them or webinar for the matter. A lot of them might watch your videos, whether it’s on YouTube, on Facebook or wherever it is, read the blog posts and maybe download your free lead magnet or your free reports or ebook before they actually decide, “Hey, this is some guy or lady that knows what they talking about. I like to learn more from the event”.
The types of leads give you the types of participants. Well, they are going to be higher quality participants. Now this is not to say that you shouldn’t continue just pure advertising and pure, direct marketing type of ads.
While you are doing that at the same time, you need to be putting out various branding ads. This whole concept is called Brandvertising. Basically, this is the way I believe moving forward, this is going to be a game changer for those of you in the expert space.
I am already implementing it for my clients. I think you should start looking into that as well.
So, this is my tip for the day. Remember the term Brandvertising.
Stop advertising, start Brandvertising.
If you have any comments and thoughts, love to hear from you.
